A bygone era

This building holds great fascination for me. It is featured in one of Michael Ondaatje's great novels, In the Skin of a Lion. I read that book many years ago and since then have longed to see this building. A few months ago I took a series of pictures of it that might show up here soon (but are on my Flickr account in any case ;). I cannot help by go back and look for new ways to view this building complex.

I love that the building is built in the Art Deco style.
