Quadra Island (humans)

As remote and rugged as Quadra is, one cannot go many places on this earth without running into people. And Quadra is no exception to this rule. Of course, when there are roads and a ferry getting you there, you should not be so surprised :)

Quadra Island is just simply too beautiful. No images I can make will ever do it any justice. But, yet, I have to try. These are but a few of the images I made of the views and vistas on Quadra. I like to think they show a hint of the island's beauty.

Quadra Island (life)

There are untold life forms on Quadra Island. I have picked just these four to highlight here. I wanted so desperately to make images of the sea urchins but I just could not risk taking my camera out in the kayak. My luck with electronics and water is not very encouraging.

Quadra Island

Quadra Island lies between the west coast of mainland Canada and the east coast of Vancouver Island. It is a beautiful and mostly untamed island. I spent a week there with my son, kayaking and hiking and making photographs.
